Tibet World Celebrates 10 Years of Service to the Community

Tibet World recently celebrated its 10th birthday on October 18th, 2023. Over the past decade, Tibet World has offered free education to over 3000 Tibetans, organized over 350 cultural events, created opportunities for over 2000 international volunteer placements from over 60 countries, and collaborated with many organizations, institutions, colleges, NGOs, and companies. Tibet World’s contributions to the community are truly remarkable.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic in the past few years, Tibet World has continued to offer social services to the community. The organization’s compassionate people and their courage have helped them overcome the difficulties.

The 10th birthday celebrations of Tibet World were a grand success. The function was initiated by lighting the lamp with the chief guest, founder and director of Tibetan Kalaisha House Mr. Wilfried, followed by the national anthem. Vice Director Kunga Norbu’s welcome speech and discussion of future plans for Tibet World must have been inspiring and informative.

The second speech was given by the Founder and Director of Tibet World, Yeshi Lhundup, through a video call. He thanked the sponsors, supporters, collaborators, volunteers, staff, and students for their hard work. He also talked about the difficulties Tibet World faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s heartening to know that Tibet World is reopening.

The third speech was given by Founder Director Mr. Wilfried, who talked about the beginning of Tibet World and the friendship between Tibet World founder Yeshi Lhundup and him. He expressed his happiness that Tibet World has been active and has achieved so much in the past decade.

The fifth award was given by our chief guest, who presented thank you certificates to the volunteers and course pass certificate students who finished the English beginner level with the help of our chief guest.

The sixth thank you award to our guests and Tibetan supporters was given by the Gu Chu Sum president Gyalthang Kyabgon. The various local Tibetan arts groups performed many wonderful Tibetan traditional dances, songs, and music, followed by serving delicious vegetarian lunch.

Finally, Tibet World would like to express its gratitude to all those who have believed in us, trusted us, and supported us in achieving our mission and vision. We hope that everyone will continue to support us, and we promise to carry forward our mission and vision till our last breath.
