Exchange Programs

Tibet World is pleased to announce our University Program! This winter, faculty and students from the University of Denver in the United States came to Dharamsala to tour and volunteer.  Tibet World put together an immersive program for the University of Denver to get to know and become a part of the Tibetan community in exile in Dharamsala.

University of Denver Exchange StudentsTibetan Prime Minister Syikong Dr. Lobsang Sangye talking to University of Denver Exchange StudentsThrough Tibet World’s program, the University of Denver was able to attend daily talks and have dialogues with executive directors of prominent Tibetan NGOs, like Students for Free Tibet and Tibetan Youth Congress.  Additionally, Tibet World was able to organize a meeting with the Tibetan Prime Minister Syikong Dr. Lobsang Sangye.  Tibet World also coordinated community events, such as folk shows, fusion art performances featuring prominent poets, musicians, and thangka artists. Other optional programming included Tibetan book signings, language classes, and nature hikes.
