The following is the curriculum for the intensive 12-week course: Week 1
- Alphabet
- Pronunciation and spelling
- Personal pronouns: I, you, he, she, we and they
- Verbs: to be, to have
Week 2
- Question form using ‘to be’ and ‘to have’
- Nouns, articles, and plural nouns
- Demonstratives: this, that, those
- Forms of address: Mr., Mrs. Etc
Week 3
- Present tense verbs: forming the present tense
- Common verbs
- Questions: where, what, when, who and why
Week 4
- Word order
- Negation
- Use of definite article
- Commands
- Object pronouns: me, you, him etc
Week 5
- Reflexive pronouns: yourself, myself etc
- Reflexive verbs
- Possessive adjectives: his, my, your etc
- Expressing possession
- Perfect tense: I took… etc
- Continuation of common verbs
Week 6
- Past participles of verbs
- Forming the perfect tense
- Irregular verbs
Week 7
- Adjectives
- Comparisons of adjectives: larger, smaller etc
- Superlative of adjectives: largest, smallest etc
- Adverbs
- Diminutives
Week 8
- Adjectives (+s)
- Adjectives as nouns
- Modal verbs: may, must, can
- Separable verbs
- Prefixes
Week 9
- Future tense + talking about the future
- Verbs in the infinitive form
Week 10
- Coordinating and subordinating conjunctions
