News of Tibet World in September 2019
Conducted workshop on Happiness ( Compassion + Wisdom = Happiness)
2nd and 3rd September 2019
In the month of September Director of Tibet World Mr. Yeshi Lhundup La gave workshop which is called Compassion + Wisdom = Happiness. The attendees of the workshop were a group of 6 students from America and Canada. Through the workshop Director of Tibet World introduced deep Buddhist Philosophy which helped them to look at life from a completely different perspective The students were really amazed and happy to learn whole new perspective of looking at life. The students were bid farewell by presenting solo performance by Director, Yeshi Lhundup who played Pewang (Traditional Tibetan Musical Instrument) and also a solo performance by Education Secretary Tenzin Choegyal.
Examination of Second trimester and Certificate award ceremony
(11th and 13th September)
Exam was conducted for all students who were learning various international language courses at Tibet World. The exam was conducted on 11th of September. The passing mark for the students was set as 60 percent. Students also need to fulfill the minimum required attendance set by the Tibet World Education Committee. If students clear the exam they can go to the next higher level class.
Certification Award Ceremony:
On 13th of September, certificate award ceremony was held at Tibet World. The program was blessed by the presence of Mr. Kurt and Mrs. Muna. The opening remarks were given by the Education Secretary Mr. Tenzin Choegyal and invited Mr. Kurt to speak few words. This was followed by certificate offering ceremony to all the students who cleared the exam and had required attendance. Then the director of Tibet World Mr. Yeshi Lhundup offered the white scarf to all the volunteers of Tibet World as a gesture of appreciation for their valuable service to Tibet World. There were beautiful song performances given by students of Tibet World. Their melodious voice lighted up the energy of the occasions. The program ended by vote of thanks given by Chinese Language teacher,Mrs. Sonam Khando La. The certificate offering program was a grand success.
Commencement of final trimester of the year (16th September 2019)
On 16th of September the last trimester of the year started. This session has 100 students who registered for learning various international language courses. We have totally regular teachers dedicated to teach the grammar lessons for all the languages. On daily basis we have 10 volunteer teachers helping in various language programs such as Chinese, French, German and English classes. The number of students this year has increased from last year. This is a clear indication that Tibet Worlds language program is excelling. Tibet World is always making its best efforts to grow the Education systems in terms of quantity as well as quality.
Folk Show and Yoga at Tibet World
Tibet World held Folk show night on 6th of September 2019 under the vision of preserving Tibetan culture. The Folk Show was attended by about 30 people from around the world. During the Folk Show the Director Mr. Yeshi Lhundup gave a little introduction of history of Tibet and presented Tibetan folk stories along with the folk dances. At the end of the program the participants also took part in the Tibetan circle dance (Gor-She). Tibet world is proud for being able to preserve and promote the precious Tibetan culture.
Yoga and Sound Healing
Tibet world is also a centre where people have the opportunity to undergo spiritual experiences. We have yoga classes every evening from 5:15 – 6:30 pm except on weekends. Anyone who is interested can always drop in at Tibet World.
Sound healing – Have you ever had a sound healing session. If not then Tibet World’s door is always open for you all. You need to make appointment in advance if you are interested in attending sound healing session.
